Ben Willemsen
Teacher of human energy and the ways of the spirit world, counsellor and author, has lectured internationally and appeared on many television and radio broadcasts in Canada and the U.S.

Born in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 1936, Ben studied Ship Engineering in Amsterdam and, after serving in the Royal Dutch Air Force, immigrated to Canada where he worked for more than twenty years in the engineering field. He loved his work and the challenges it presented, and was continually amazed at how solutions to problems far beyond his own knowledge would suddenly come to him from seemingly out of nowhere.

Then, at the age of 41, he had a shattering and life-altering experience that catapulted him into a world of powerful energies, spiritual teachings and discarnate entities. He ran from this new awareness, fearing for his sanity, but in time, with guidance from spirit teachers, he embarked upon an exploration of the psyche which led to profound changes in his awareness and in his everyday life. One of his discoveries was that he could look through the human body and observe disturbances in the skeletal and nervous systems, in soft tissue and in the energy flows. He calls this ability "diagnostic imagery" and is able to help people who have problems that standard medical procedures and interpretation are currently unable to address.

In 1987, together with his wife and partner, Penny Margolis, Ben founded the Centre for Human Energy in Winnipeg, Canada. At the Centre he worked as a counsellor, offering diagnostic imagery, energy analysis and "marriage tune-ups." He also guided groups in personal development work, and led workshops on the psyche and the spirit.

After twenty years of psychic discipline, research, living and teaching, Ben published his first two books in a series on Human Energy: Don't Water the Stick: The Path of the Psyche (1996; 2nd edition, 1998) and Beyond a Shadow: The Path of the Spirit (1997).

Ben and Penny moved to Nova Scotia in 1999 and built a new Centre for Human Energies Studies near Halifax. The Centre offers personal development groups, opportunities for intensive study, and private consultations. Ben is also engaged in writing his third book, Understanding Your Spirit Self: The Path of the Student.
