Does being spiritual mean having to be nice to everyone all the time?

If you behave nicely to everyone but secretly harbour feelings of anger or mistrust, you are not being spiritual. Spirituality begins with becoming honest with yourself and taking responsibility for the energies that you project towards others. If you're angry with your cousin, for example, do not visit her in hospital pretending to be concerned while bombarding her with your negative thoughts and feelings.

Many people speak of having a soul, as though the soul belongs to them, when in reality it is they who belong to it.
