Is there a difference between "ghosts" and "spirits?"
The words "ghost" and "spirit" are often used interchangeably, although many people associate the word "ghost" with something fearful or disturbing. There is, however, an important distinction. Ghosts, or what I call 'mindset spirits,' are essentially humans without bodies, that is, humans who remain for one reason or another in the physical realm after death. Energetically and psychologically, their makeup remains the same as it was in life.
A spirit who has moved on to the next realm can no longer be called a ghost. I call these spirits 'karma spirits.' Their energy makeup and ego system have been entirely transformed. Whereas a ghost can be seen or felt by those who are sensitive, the karma spirit can only be seen if he or she wills it. A ghost cannot normally move through physical obstructions, like doors or walls, while the karma spirit can move anywhere without restriction. The most important difference is that the karma spirit, with its transformed ego system, has lost its human priorities and is now devoted to service.
