Does the soul enter at birth, at conception or at some other time?
Many people believe that the soul enters the foetus at the moment of conception or shortly thereafter. If that were the case, there would be two souls occupying the same space at the same time. Knowing what I do about the power of the soul's drive, it would be impossible for this to happen.
The growing foetus is part of a pregnant woman both physically and psychically. The foetus belongs to the same soul as does the woman and is part of that soul's energy field. As that energy flows through the woman it also flows through the developing foetus, supporting and vitalizing its developing body. If we look at a pregnant woman with our psyche, we can see a glowing brightness in her abdomen. This brightness is the energy envelope within which the foetus is growing - not, as some might think, a separate soul force. When a foetus kicks, it is not a sign of an identity but simply a response of its body intelligence which is flexing its muscles, so to speak.
It is only after the birth that a soul takes possession of the newborn infant and it is at that moment that a new identity comes into being. Until the birth, the foetus is part of the woman and not a separate identity.
