What is the psyche?

While the word "psyche" is normally used to refer to the soul or the mind, it is now being used in a broader sense to refer to not only the energies of the soul and the mind but also the energies that surround each organ within the body, the energy that runs through and around the spine, and the mind energy that is produced by our brain. Each of these energies of which the psyche consists has its own distinctive frequency and purpose. It is the QUALITY OF OUR ENERGY FLOW that controls our body's ability or inability to heal.

Many people are aware of their own energy field but don't realize it. For example, you might walk into a room, feel uncomfortable and decide to leave. Without being aware of it, you have actually responded to information received through your own energy field. Another example is when you feel crowded and have a need for more space.

There are two aspects of our psyche being, corresponding to the two types of energy of which the psyche consists: the physical/sexual, relating to the body, and the intellectual/spiritual, relating to the soul. The physical/sexual aspect, which we will call the 'body psyche,' includes all the energies responsible for life. One of these is the body intelligence, found both within the brain and along the spine. The body intelligence is responsible for the operation, maintenance and survival of the physical body. Another of the physical/sexual energies is found in the energy envelopes that surround and nourish each organ in the body. In addition, there is the energy responsible for procreation, in other words, the drive for physical life. Known as 'Kundalini,' it rests at the base of the body near the reproductive system and, according to yogic philosophy, it is the cosmic energy in bodies. While the physical body merges with the earth after death, these physical/sexual energies will merge with the universe.

The intellectual/spiritual aspect of the psyche is made up of all the energies of the soul and its drive, including the layers of the 'energy egg' and the mind. We call this aspect the 'psyche self.' When the body dies, these energies remain for a period of time as a SPIRIT and eventually merge with the universe.

All of these energies, whether associated with the body or the soul are imperceptible to our physical senses. Each vibrates at a different rate or frequency and each has a distinct place and purpose.
